More than 250 community members gathered at Waller Parker Saturday to take part in the inaugural Joey De Anda Memorial 5k Fun Run. They were there to remember the life of Santa Barbara County firefighter paramedic Joey De Anda. He passed away last year in an off-duty skiing accident. He graduated Cal Poly with a broadcast journalism degree, but eventually foudnhis way to Cal Fire and his dream job at the Santa Barbara County Fire Department.
