A convicted killer involved in a 2010 murder has been granted parole. Jason Greenwell is one of five people found guilty of torturing and beating to death 15-year-old Dystiny Myers in 2010. It’s the second time Greenwell has been granted parole. Governor Gavin Newsom reversed the Parole Board’s first decision in March last year. San Luis Obispo County D.A. Dan Dow believes Greenwell still poses an unreasonable danger to society if released from prison. Myers’ family says they will continue to fight for justice for Dystiny.
