A new camping ordinance in Grover Beach goes into effect this morning. The new rules include no camping within 200 feet of a residential property line, transportation hub, or school. Campsites are also limited to 24 hours. Campers then have to move at least 600 feet. The Grover Beach P.D. has been working on an outreach program with the 5Cities Homeless Coalition to get the word out about the new ordinance. People who do not comply may be cited.
