L.A. Office Of Veterans Affairs Forces 12 Local Vets Out Of Shelter

The Veterans Affairs Office in Los Angeles has forced several vets from a Nipomo recovery center. According to KSBY, Legacy Village helps veterans in need of recovery, support or, shelter as soon as possible, whenever they have availability. At times bypassing a months-long authorization process involving Veterans Affairs. Legacy Village officials were notified that the 12 veterans staying at the facility would have to leave or face being shut down. The Band of Brothers and the Santa Maria Elks Lodge’s veterans committee took action to help keep the vets on the right track.
