Congressman Salud Carbajal was in Morro Bay last week. he was in town to deliver a 1.5 million dollar check to city officials. The money is earmarked to help repair Morro Bay’s North T-Pier. Officials say it will be a boost in their effort to repair and upgrade the pier. They added that more funding is needed toward the 3.8 million dollar project. Morro Bay will use federal money in combination with other funding sources to replace a majority of the pier’s structural and fender pilings that were declared moderately damaged in 2011.
