A carjacking in Santa Maria led to a high-speed chase across county lines. It started with a report of an assault with a deadly weapon at around 3 yesterday afternoon. The suspect then allegedly forced a woman out of her vehicle near Lesley Court. He got on the northbound 101. CHP Officers picked up the pursuit in Nipomo. It came to an end near Prado Road after a spike strip was deployed. The unidentified suspect was taken into custody and is facing several charges.
