Paso Robles city officials are using goats to reduce the possibility of wildfire in the Salinas Riverbed. It’s the third year in a row that herds of goats can be spotted munching on a variety of vegetation. The goats are grazing in areas the Paso Robles Fire Department has deemed priorities. The goats are surrounded by an electric fence that keeps them in a particular area.
