Firefighters across the Central Coast are encouraging residents to clean up their weeds and long grasses. The historic winter rains refilled local reservoirs. They also helped spur and abundance of potential fire fuels. Fire officials say now is the time to create a defensible space around your home or business as we enter fire season. Weed abatement inspections will begin in a couple of weeks across San Luis Obispo and Santa Barbara Counties.
