Santa Barbara County firefighters made quick work of a vegetation fire yesterday afternoon. The Fire broke out in Solvang at around 12:38 near Fredensborg Canyon and Del Prado. Fire crews had the flame’s forward progress halted in about an hour. The fire scorched about half an acre of dry grass. No Structures were threatened and no injuries were reported The cause of the fire is under investigation. Officials say it’s a good reminder to create a defensible space by June 1st.
