Development Plans For Wild Cherry Canyon Nixed

2400 acres of pristine PG&E oceanfront property will likely not be developed in the near future. That was the proposed decision by Judge Rita Federman. According to the Tribune, she found the Wild Cherry Canyon land was leased to HomeFed in 1968 primarily for agricultural purposes, limited to a 51-year term. The lease expired in 2019. The Developer has 30 days to request a different ruling, which the judge must consider before issuing a final decision.
