A new report from the San Luis Obispo County Grand Jury confirmed that a portion of the California Men’s Colony will be closing. The California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation made the announcement last December. According to the Grand Jury’s report, units E, F, and G in the West facility will be shut down by November this year. Inmates from those units will be transferred to other facilities based on their custody needs.
