Two Central Coast High Schools Locked Down

Two Central Coast high schools were placed on lockdown yesterday. Pioneer Valley High School was locked down just before 11 a.m. after a gun was reported in a vacant vehicle in an on campus parking lot. Santa Maria Police located the gun and cleared the scene and took a person into custody before 11:30. The second lockdown happened when a bomb threat was reported at Santa Maria High School. Police scoured the campus and determined the threat was unfounded.
