The Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the death of an inmate. The inmate was found not breathing and unresponsive in their cell yesterday afternoon at around 2:20 at the Northern Branch Jail in Santa Maria. Deputies and medical staff began life-saving measures that included two rounds of Narcan and CPR. Paramedics continued the life-saving measures but the inmate was pronounced dead at 2:46. According to KSBY, It’s the second death at a Santa Barbara County Jail this month.
