Paso High School Arrested After Threatening To Shoot Up School

A Paso Robles Highs School teen was taken into custody yesterday afternoon for allegedly threatening to shoot up the school. School officials say the threat was written in a bathroom stall. Police responded to the school at around 12:30. With help from school staff, officers located the threat and the student. School officials say the message was considered hate speech and threatened an on campus shooting today. The student was arrested and booked on felony charges of criminal threats and a hate crime. While authorities found no imminent or ongoing threat to the school, students, or faculty, the investigation is ongoing.
