A Palmdale resident who got a DUI in Pismo Beach while escaping her allegedly abusive boyfriend may be facing another trial. 55-year-old Anne Nunez was charged with misdemeanor DUI in 2021. Jurors couldn’t if she was guilty of moving her car to distance herself from her boyfriend. The case ended in a hung jury in February. The San Luis Obispo County D.A.’s Office has decided to retry the case. According to the Tribune, Nunez’s attorney believes the new trial will have a similar outcome because there is no new evidence.
