Plans to remodel Georgia Brown Elementary School in Paso Robles have been put on hold for the time being. A state-required test of potential seismic hazards has put the plan on pause. The ultrasound testing discovered an “anomalous feature” under the campus. More studies are needed to determine if the school is sitting on a fault line. A trench measuring 30 feet deep, 3 feet wide, and 150 feet long will be part of the testing. District officials will get an update on any seismic issues at a meeting tonight.
