S.B. County Supervisors Adopt 1.5 Billion Dollar Budget

The Santa Barbara County Board of Supervisors unanimously adopted a 1.52 billion dollar budget for the 2023-24 fiscal year. The new budget has zero service-level reductions. According to the Santa Maria Times, it also puts major funding toward homeless assistance, mental health facilities, parks, libraries, criminal justice and more. Officials say it’s the 5th consecutive year that a budget has been passed with no service-level cuts.
