The San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a fatal fall at Pirates Cove. Authorities say a man and woman were sitting on a cliff in the area of Cave Landing Road at around 5 p.m… Witnesses told investigators when the couple got up to leave, the man slipped backward and fell about 200 feet over the side. The victim’s name has not been released pending notification of next of kin. Investigators say the death appears to be accidental.
