Firefighters have a new tool to reach people needing rescue in northern Santa Barbara County. According to KSBY, Fire station 21 in Old Town Orcutt just picked up a new UTV that can help first responders reach victims in remote areas quickly. The rescue vehicles have been in use by several fire agencies, including Cal Fire. Officials say the Utility Task Vehicle will help cut response times to rescue someone injured or trapped in a hard-to-reach location.
