SLO County Cannabis Industry Gets Tax Break

The struggling San Luis Obispo County cannabis industry is getting a break. The County Board of Supervisors have voted to cut the county’s cannabis business tax rate by 2 percentage points. According to the Tribune, the tax will decrease from eight to six percent and stay there until this time next year. Supervisor Debbie Arnold believes lowering the tax will put a burden on the county’s general fund to cover the cost of of managing the cannabis industry.
