Lompoc Police were busy over the Fourth of July weekend. Officers responded to 624 calls between June 30th and July 5th. 100 of those calls were related to fireworks. According to KSBY, a 12-hour span between July 4th and 5th included more than 40 fireworks calls, 11 dumpster fires, five arrests, three backyard fires of residential trees or fences, and one count of arson.
