A large-scale search for 5-year-old Kyle Doan will take place this weekend. He was sewpt away by floodwaters in January. The San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s Office will be assisted by the County Incident Management Team and roughly 300 search crew members from around the state. Saturday and Sunday crews will search a six-mile-long stretch of the Salinas River between San Marcos Creek and Big Sandy Creek. Officials say they understand the community’s desire to help with the search but there is no need for volunteers during this operation.
