A Guadalupe man was arrested yesterday afternoon for his alleged involvement in a 2018 murder. Santa Maria Police believe 21-year-old Israel Hernandez shot and killed 18-year-old Adrian Alvarez near the intersection of Enos and Thornberg on December 8th, 2018. Yesterday at around 2:30, Santa Maria detectives took Hernandez into custody without incident. He was booked on a murder charge with a gang enhancement. Bail was set at 2 million dollars.
