The City of Santa Maria has a new Fire Chief. Brad Dandridge was sworn in this week in front of friends and family, and the Santa Maria City council Tuesday. He grew up in Santa Maria, eventually becoming a firefighter in Fresno. Chief Dandridge has been the interim chief after Todd Tuggle resigned to become chief of the San Luis Obispo Fire Department.
