Firefighters Getting Handle On North County Wildfire

Cal Fire firefighters are working to contain a wildfire east of Creston this morning. The blaze was first reported yesterday morning just before noon. According to the Cal Fire Twitter page, the forward progress of the flames had been halted. At last report, the Shell Fire had burned roughly 90 acres and was 50 percent contained. The cause of the fire is under investigation. So far no immediate structures are threatened and no injuries have been reported.
