A Bakersfield oil and gas company has been ordered to remove and remediate its old wells from the Carrizo Plain. According to the Tribune, the U.S. Bureau of Land Management issued the order to E&B Natural Resources Management Corp… The order requires E&B Natural Resources to plug and abandon the 11 wells by August 2028. Environmentalists say there is still more work to be done to halt the use of fossil fuels in California and the country.
