A candidate for the San Luis Obispo County Board of Supervisors District 5 seat has dropped out of the race. District 5 represents Atascadero, Santa Margarita, Garden Farms, the Carrizo Plain and parts of Cal Poly and Templeton. According to the Tribune, Santa Margarita resident Erik Gorham withdrew his candidacy for the district 5 seat to help reduce any division between Republican candidates. The seat is currently held by Debbie Arnold.
