Bus ridership in Santa Maria has increased 96 percent since the pandemic. With some routes reaching full capacity, a new line was needed to ease passenger congestion. Santa Maria Regional Transit has intriduced Route 13X. The new line will only be in operation during the school year, Monday through Friday between 6:45 a.m. and 5:45 p.m… The city is also offering free rides now through August 20th on all SMRT routes.
