The California Coastal Commission plans to appeal a recent decision by a San Luis Obispo County Superior Court judge to allow off-road riding at the Oceano Dunes. Judge Tana Coates’July 19 ruling effectively overturned a Coastal Commission’s plan to ban most off roading at the dunes by next year. The appeal moves the case to the California 2nd District Court of Appeal in Los Angeles.
