According to the Tribune, Central Coast congressman Salud Carbajal made the statement at a recent town hall meeting in San Luis Obispo. The last California nuclear power plant was scheduled to be decommissioned in 2024 and 2025. Carbajal told the group that public safety needed to be a priority.
