The massive explosion last Wednesday in Santa Maria that destroyed a home, also left eight others uninhabitable. 23 neighboring homes suffered damage in the explosion that also injured four people. City inspectors red-tagged eight homes in the area, declaring them unsafe to enter. City Fire officials say an open natural gas outlet was the cause of the explosion.
