A downtown San Luis Obispo parking lot will be closed next week to make way for a new parking garage. City officials made the announcement earlier this week. The lot is located at the intersection of Palm and Nipomo streets. The new five-story parking garage will include 397 parking spaces, 41 electric vehicle chargers, and 32 bike racks, along with other improvements. According to the city’s press release, the new parking facility will be open sometime in 2025.
