Gas prices continue to rise across the country. According to Triple-A, the national average is 3.85 a gallon for regular. California is averaging 5.50 a gallon. A gallon of regular gas in San Luis Obispo County is currently averaging 5.73 a gallon, up 33 cents a gallon from last month and it’s 5.53 a gallon in Santa Barbara County up 37 cents a gallon from a month ago. Officials point to unplanned outages and unexpected maintenance as partial causes for the rise in prices.
