The City of San Luis Obispo has announced that hikers in the Irish Hills Natural Reserve have more to explore. Earlier this week, officials announced a 1.3 mile extension of Bog Thistle Trail. According to KSBY, the trail was originally less than half a mile long. Now it extends from the Prefumo Canyon Trailhead into the upper Irish Hills, connecting with the Mariposa and Mine trails. Park and Rec. officials say hikers will get amazing views of the Morros, Laguna Lake, and Los Osos Valley. You can find out more at SLO City dot ORG.
