Santa Maria Police arrested three drivers on suspicion of DUI at a Friday night DUI checkpoint. Police say a total of 109 vehicles were screened on South Broadway between 6p.m. Friday and 3 a.m. Saturday. They also remind drivers that first-time DUI offenders face an average of $13,500 in fines and penalties, as well as a suspended license.
