A San Luis Obispo man was arrested over the weekend on suspicion of weapons charges and DUI. According to yesterday SLO P.D. press release, residents on Montalban Street reported shots being fired at around just after 9 o’clock Sunday morning. Witnesses described a white sedan leaving the area. While the investigation was ongoing, the car returned. Officers stopped 25-year-old Ernest Chavez Jr… During search of his vehicle, police found a non-serialized automatic rifle and an empty large capacity magazine. According to police Chavez was under the influence of alcohol at the time of his arrest.
