One person is in custody following a shoplifting incident in Arroyo Grande yesterday. According to yesterday’s press release, officers responded to a report of a male shoplifting at the Mobile gas station on Traffic Way at around 3:15. The suspect fled, but police caught up with him a short time later when a citizen noticed his car parked on Verde Place. When police arrived, the suspect fled on foot, making his way through the neighborhood. He was eventually captured and taken into custody. He’s facing several felony charges and a parole violation.
