High schools across northern Santa Barbara County have responded to a growing post-pandemic mental health crisis. The Wellness Centers at Righetti, Santa Maria, and Pioneer Valley provide students with opportunities to speak to a school counselor and crisis intervention consultant before school, after, and during lunch hours. Officials believe it will give students a chance to decompress and refocus.
