One of the men convicted in a devil-worshipping murder of a 15-year-old Arroyo Grande girl will not be paroled. That’s the decision handed down from the California Court of Appeal yesterday. Royce Casey had been denied parole in 2016 and 2019. He and two others had lured Elyse Pahler to a eucalyptus grove on the Nipomo Mesa before brutally murdering her. The Court of Appeal ultimately agreed with Governor Gavin Newsom’s 2021 denial of parole.
