Paul Flores, the man convicted of killing Kristin Smart back in 1996 was in a Monterey County courtroom yesterday. It was his first court appearance since being attacked at Pleasant Valley State Prison. Flores has requested the attorney that represented his father last year, represent him in the restitution phase and appeal of his case. He’s currently serving a 25-years-to-life sentence.
