If you see smoke in the hills near Pismo Beach, there’s no need to be concerned. According to a press release, Cal Fire is conducting a controlled bur of roughly 100 acres of hazardous vegetation along Thousand Hills Road. It’s part of an ongoing Thousand Hills Vegetation Management Project to minimize wildfire hazards in the area. The controlled burn project should be completed by 6 this evening.
