Quick work by Cal Fire SLO firefighters kept a weekend wildfire in cheque over the weekend. The Green Fire broke out Friday afternoon just before 1 o’clock on the southside of Highway 46 just east of Cambria. By Sunday morning, Cal Fire reported the blaze to be 95 percent contained. Flames scorched close to 245 acres. While there was speculation the cause of the fire was downed power lines, officials say the exact cause is under investigation.
