San Luis Obispo County broke ground this week on a long-planned consolidated emergency services dispatch center. The state-of-the-art, 19,000-square-foot facility will bring County Sheriff’s and Cal Fire SLO calls for service under one roof. Officials say it will result in shorter 911 response times and better disaster communication. Construction should be completed in 2025.
