The San Luis Obispo County D.A.’s Office has blocked nearly 9 million dollars in fraudulent real estate sales countywide. According to yesterday’s press release, scammers contact local real estate agents, trying to sell vacant property they don’t own. The D.A.’s Office says property owners can protect themselves by checking their property addresses on trusted websites like Zillow or MLS to see if their property has been fraudulently listed. If it has, contact the D.A.’s Office immediately.
