The man accused of vehicular manslaughter in the deaths of a San Luis Obispo couple last year will face trial. Following Tuesday’s preliminary hearing, the judge in the case ruled that 24-year-old Daniel Saligan Patricio will face the charges against him. He pleaded not guilty in March. Saligan Patricio allegedly struck Matthew Chachere and Jennifer Besser with his car on Sacramento Drive while they were walking their dog in November last year. Saligan Patricio’s next court date is January 4th.
