Alert neighbors in Orcutt were able to keep a family’s home from being completely destroyed. The neighbors spotted smoke coming from the Sweetbriar Court home just after 11 o’clock Saturday morning. They called 9-1-1 and firefighters were able to keep the flames contained to the kitchen. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
