An apartment complex in Vandenberg Village near Lompoc was evacuated early yesterday morning. A Fire was reported in the 3900 block of Mesa Circle just before 4 a.m.. When firefighters arrived, four units of the complex were involved in flames. 18 residents have been displaced, including two children. They have been contacted by the Red Cross. Firefighters from Santa Barbara County, Lompoc, and Vandenberg fire departments had the flames knocked down in about 40 minutes. An investigation is ongoing.
