Morro Bay City officials say they are working on improving future Ironman Triathlon events. Following last May’s Ironman, the city received mixed reviews from local businesses and residents. According to KSBY, City Staff gave the City Council a report that included a number of recommendations to improve future events. The recommendations include moving the event to Sunday instead of Saturday, improving equipment pick-up after race day, and increasing notifications to residents. Morro Bay is under contract to hold two more Ironman events, both to be held on Sundays.
