Lompoc Police say one of their own was injured while helping U.S. Marshals apprehend a fugitive yesterday. Officials say two police vehicles were involved in a collision just before noon. One officer sustained injuries and was hospitalized. The fugitive was arrested. The CHP is investigating the crash.
