Morro Bay Seeking Public Input On Pedestrian Safety

The City of Morro Bay recently received a 40,000 dollar grant from Caltrans. The grant will fund a plan to improve pedestrian safety in the city. City officials are asking for public input to help improve travel in the area. According to KSBY, Between 2013 and 2022, within city limits three out of nine severe injury crashes involved pedestrians, and one out of three fatal crashes in the city involved pedestrians. The Morro Bay Public Works Advisory Committee is holding a meeting this evening at 5:30 in the Veteran’s Memorial building.
